Throughout my years pursuing an education, I have only had one thing in mind, and that is to never limit …show more content…
myself to what others believe I am capable of. I strongly believe that you can be anything you want as long as you motivate yourself to work intensely at whatever you want to become. Because of this opinion, I believe that my greatest accomplishment is the work ethic I have forged through the hard work I put in to achieve my goals and exceed expectations. When my family and I made the decision to transfer me to this school, I dedicated myself to succeeding here and have done just that. I’ve kept a perfect 4.0 GPA during my time in public school and have taken advantage of the many extracurricular activities school has to offer. I’ve participated in sports such as football, basketball, baseball, scholar’s bowl, and joined several community clubs. My work ethic also extends to my personal life. When I decided that it was time to purchase a vehicle, I worked 100 hour weeks all summer to save the money to buy one and paid the cost up front. I strongly believe my greatest qualification and accomplishment is the work ethic I’ve made a part of my character.
My community means so much to me because the environment that we live in greatly affects the character that we build for ourselves.
Thankfully, Sublette is one of the best communities I’ve ever had the chance to be apart of. In the 14 years that I’ve had the privilege of living here The people support the up and coming students and their pursuits. Whether it be football or academics, they greatly encourage those participating. In the future, I can only hope to do the same. I plan on contributing to the community in any means possible. Whether it be applying for a leadership role in our region or creating organizations to better our local society, I will utilize my skills to strengthen our community because the condition of the environment that we live in is extremely important to me and my ensuing …show more content…
pursuits.
Out of the many extracurricular activities I’ve participated in, my experience playing football for the first time this year affected my life the most. It built character in me that I hadn’t seen in myself before. Playing football taught me what it meant to work together as a team to accomplish a common goal. Football also built discipline in areas of my character where I really needed it. Even though my season was cut short because of an unfortunate injury, I’m glad I decided to participate in football because of the lessons I learned through that experience.
After I graduate from high school, I plan to attend either Fort Hays State University or the University of Kansas to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree in business management.
Doing so will give me all the tools I need to successfully own and operate my own business. After college, I want to dispatch for a trucking company. I would start low and eventually work my way up to the place where I’m financially capable of either purchasing the company I work for or starting my own. Owning and operating my own company won’t be easy, but I’m committed to accomplishing this by any reasonable means possible. Once my company is in good standing, I plan to expand as far as possible. I can do this by not only transporting grain, but also start hauling expensive products such as HASMAT and liquid fertilizer. I’m hoping that through these efforts I’ll be able to provide dozens of jobs to upstanding individuals who believe in a hard day’s work and want to make an honest
living.
