Summary: Biblical Worldview
Biblical Worldview When God started creating everything, after He finished creating it He would say “It was good.” (Genesis 1) God has always had a hand in His creation whether He was creating something or He was leading a group of people, God was involved. God is the Maker of all things, God did not build on anything that was already there, He made it from nothing with the Father, Son and, Spirit being involved. (Akin, 2014) God has always been involved with his creation; He would find kings like Saul and David for Israel by using Samuel. He would move groups of people into power to further his purpose of bring Jesus to this world. This is famously known through the Romans, who became so powerful and then ultimately were the ones who had …show more content…

An example of God being involved in his creation’s life is when Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego were thrown into the furnace by Nebuchadnezzar’s guards. Nebuchadnezzar thought they would be burned only to see God protect these men and bring them out of the furnace. (Daniel 3) Another example would be when Peter and John were arrested. While preaching the gospel Peter and John were arrested because of the miracles and teachings they were doing, but the whole time the Bible states “Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit.” It shows that God was empowering Peter and John helping lead to their later release from jail. (Acts 4) It is evident throughout the Bible that God is actively involved with His creation, but how does this belief affect the way we interact with people within our vocations? By the time I graduate from college I would love to have a job working with some sort youth ministry, i.e. teens or kids. In the meantime I would also continue my part-time job as …show more content…

When you have to deal with other people, you can guarantee that issues will arise. This is something that every ministry sees and tries to avoid as it can cause issues. God will work in a ministry if they are working for God. James 4:8 says “if we draw a nigh to God, and he will draw a nigh to you (us).” If the connection with God is strong enough it will encourage others to jump on board with the vision of that ministry. A.W. Tozer said “There are rare Christians whose very presence incites others to be better Christians. I want to be that rare Christian.” The gathering and betterment of other Christians are evident as Peter and John lived this out in during The Day of Pentecost, when they preached and thousands were saved. (Acts 2) I believe that if someone is seeking to serve God and is pursuing God’s heart, God will use that person in ways they may never imagine and attract others to His

I really enjoyed your writing on the use of debt and principles in light of the Biblical Worldview. The points your raised showed your knowledge of both very well. I particularly liked your point that while borrowing is frowned upon in the Bible, investing and working your money is encouraged. While there is much guidance in the Bible on management and usage of money, it can be confusing and seemingly contradictory. This is also reflective in business. Corporations do not choose to borrow for growth purposes lightly. There is much thought and analysis on the future benefits and risks to borrow before any loan papers are signed.…

I find it amazing to know that the God I serve is real, and approachable at any time of the day for countless reasons that I may need him. There is an overwhelming sense of comfort that over comes me once I am finished praying or complete a devotional. My God is always there for love, support and comfort. He is always involved in our lives and He longs for a personal relationship with us. Throughout the Bible we see many people that God had relationships with and who He spoke to and encouraged daily. Amos 4:13 shows us that God reveals His thoughts to man, this is just another verse to show us that God is involved in our lives when we allow Him to be. In the last few days that Jesus was on earth, He told His disciples that He would be leaving and another…

A facet of Christian faith is the belief that mankind is created in the image of God. So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” I believe we were created in God's image, and that it influences me every day as a manager at Target. The inherit image of God in myself shows me that I should treat others with dignity and have no bias or exploitation of others based on looks, creed, race, gender, etc. The inherit image of God in myself also shows me that I need to be a servant such as Jesus was.…

All else, God declared into actuality, but with man He had taken on a more involved role, created him from the dust of the ground and breathed the breath of life into him (Genesis 2:7 New Living Translation). Man was given rule over all earthy creation. Even though the last to be created, man is first of the earthly hierarchy. Above all, the only to be designed in His image. Being appointed to rule over creation, meant to take care of it as well, which included the animals (Genesis 1:28-31 New International Version).…

For this project, I am placing myself in a hypothetical context as a staff pastoral counselor at my home church in Valley City, ND, serving a congregation of approximately 200. I have chosen as my overarching goal for life to serve others in the capacity for which the Lord has gifted me and prepared me to counsel and minister to them. 1 Peter 4:9 tells us that, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” I believe that serving in a counseling role is my gift, and that it is my calling to use that gift to serve others, and in doing so, to obey God.…

Paul makes it clear that the world was created by God and that we are without excuse if we choose to deny that. Romans 1: 22,23 tells us that men were turning their backs on God and worshipping the things that He had created instead of worshipping the Creator of those things. Verse 23 says that “they changed the glory of an incorruptible God”. Certainly having heard of the story of the children of Israel turning their backs on God and creating a golden calf to worship in the wilderness the Jews should have known what the consequences of this type of idolatry would bring (Exodus 22). Because of their defiance towards God he ultimately gave them over to the sinful lusts of their hearts to do what pleased themselves regardless if it was pleasing to God or not. Even today we are living with consequences of turning our backs on Him.…

Employee engagement is a good example of how being a Christian can help or hurt the ability of a manager to build the best work relationship with staff. A Christian manager knows the rules of engagement. They consider the questions: 1) How do we engage each other/our employee; 2) how do we have those difficult conversations with each other/employees; 3) are we comfortable with conflict? Are our employees comfortable with conflict; and what’s behind our tendency to take things personally (DevelopMe, 2014)? Good Christian managers know the effects of accepting confrontation and exemplify good rules of engagement. They understand that a conflict is not good and "listen carefully to people and show them they 've heard them by responding verbally or taking action" (Woolfe, 2002).…

Lori, I truly enjoyed your interview response on Reverend Jennifer Beagle. I can agree with her statement on developing a ministry, “It’s a battle worth fighting, suit-up, buckle-up, and don’t doubt that God is in everything. Find God in every circumstance and view people as creations”. (Beagle, 2015) Just as the varying parts of the human body need each other to best accomplish its work, so the Body of Christ needs to function interdependently, like a team. (Rom. 12:4-8; 1 Cor. 12:12-27) God so designed the Church that it "grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work". (Eph. 4:16) Christian leaders are servants. Jesus specifically addresses servant leadership…

The first four commandments focus on the relationship between man and God. They command man to revere God and worship Him only. Further, the Sabbath day should be honored as the day a man focuses on their creator. On the other hand, the other six, focus on the relationship between man and another. The emphasis is that people should live harmoniously with one another, thus eliminating vices such as murder, stealing, disrespect, adultery, coveting and bearing false witnesses (Exodus 20, King James Version).…

McRaney shows us that going out to the community and reaching the people is so important to winning souls. I always felt that God would put you in situations to wittiness. Image of God in the Bible

In the first book of the Bible, Genesis, God can be seen as having a sort of bi-polar attitude. In the beginning chapters God is shown as a caring person when he is creating the earth and when he talks about how he wants Adam and Eve to succeed and do well and how he gives Adam a companion, Eve because he feels Adam will be lonely. As the book unfolds God becomes very angry with how his world is turning out. Sin has been introduced and humans seem to be falling away from the righteous. This upsets God and he creates an idea that he will flood the world so that only Noah and the people and animals inside the ark will live. His intentions seem horrible, trying to kill humans because they have sinned, but in reality he is trying to free the world of sin so that the remaining humans will live wonderful lives free of pain and despair. The flood can be seen as both a positive and negative thing. To non-believers they may find fault in the idea that God felt that he had to punish the world as a result of how sinful the people of earth had become. To help promote their ideas they could use statements from the Bible such as this one when God's feelings are stated about how he seems to be dissatisfied with the people of earth, "The Lord was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain" (Genesis 6:6). It can also be revealed when God states, "I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am…
