Summary: Inheritance By Christopher Paolini
: Inheritance
Author: Christopher Paolini
Text: novel inheritance is the four instalment of Christopher Paolini in the Eragon series in this text Eragon and his dragon Saphira must overcome the last of the evil king galbotorixs kingdoms and to overcome once and for all galbotorix himself against all odds. The text I found interesting because of the vibe and moral of the text found through Eragon and the Varden were vastly outnumbered and out gunned they are determined to overcome galbotorixs troops and galbotorix himself. Even whilst all odds are against them.

I felt like this text left me admiring Eragon and his strength and determination not to be deterred by the sheer scale of galatorixs power and to continue to try win the fight even though there chance where one in one thousand, even though he had tragic loses of friends and family close to him his determination to bring down the king did not waver if anything his loses made him stronger as a person pushing them to train and work harder, physical and mentally. The idea of the power of peoples true names also interest me, the way that if you completely know something inside and out you are in control of it.

The overall theme of the book is that successful human beings don’t rise up from nothing. There are many factors that play into being successful. We seem to believe that the successful were born with some quality or talent to help them be the way they are. The author states, “We want to know what they're like—what kind of personalities they have, or how intelligent they are, or what kind of lifestyles they have, or what…

One of the most prominent being the fact that this is a very philosophical book. Before each chapter are excerpts from ‘journals’ that make you think. They also correlate very closely with the content featured on each chapter. Another reason I enjoyed this read was because of the vivid descriptions. At one point the book describes a scene that was part of the first book, but then shows with excellent word choices the ways that the scene has changed over thousands of years. A third reason is how relatable the characters are. Throughout the book many events occur, and the book allows you to easily tell what each character’s reaction is. Also, the characters are not too perfect, or in other words their reactions are something we may experience ourselves.…

A lot of people misunderstand what leads to success. Success is more than just being able to fill your bank account with loads of money, it’s about being satisfied with the lifestyle that you have. Of course having money makes you happy, but it can’t buy happiness, love, respect, or even trust. Everyone is born with their own unique talents and is better at a specific skill compared to…

Growing up, people have different goals in their lives, and sometimes without knowing exactly what they are going to do, they simply want to be successful in the future. Success is a word that has different meanings for many people: some of them think success is the wealth, for some it is just making the world a better place. Success does not happen overnight as describes Malcolm Gladwell, the author of the book called, “Outliers: The Story of Success”. In most cases it takes a lot of practice. Sometimes the past of a person or the place where he/she was born affects the future of that person. Referring to some facts from one of Gladwell’s…

While some people equate having wealth and power as being successful, that is often not the case. Although earning and having money is an important aspect of our economy and existence, earning large sums of money is not an accurate way of measuring nor determining if a person is successful or not. Those who find true satisfaction in life, regardless of their wealth or social status, are the ones who have reached true success. As put into words by award-winning author Maya Angelou, "success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it." True success is achieved when an individual has reached a point in their life where their goals and achievements are meaningful and…

Throughout the span of the last century, many have thought that the answer to success as pure talent and luck. However, as shown by Geoff Colvin’s quote, “ Greatness isn't handed to anyone; it requires a lot of hard work,” the secret recipe in success is actually persistence. In regard to that, stories, such as “The Smallest Dragonboy”, or articles like “What It Takes to be Great” have specific proved and focused on the fact that success is nothing without persistence and hard work. For example, Anne McCaffrey’s nonfiction, “The Smallest Dragonboy” tells the tales of an underdog who persevere over his obstacles to ultimately be successful. In addition to that, Geoff Colvin’s article “What It Takes to be Great” also digs into the life and history…

The classic American success story: a person is born to nothing, has an idea, and, by sheer power of their own will and determination, makes it big--or so it would seem. These are the stories, the stories of billionaires, professional athletes, lawyers, and scientists, that Malcolm Gladwell examines in his 2008 book, Outliers: Stories of Success. He delves deep into the stories of successful people, finding that they are rarely self-made. He counters the well-loved “rags to riches” stories that success is a product of great opportunities, cultural legacy, and a bit of luck.…
