There he was, sitting in the middle of the front yard five yards from a smoldering heap of sofa. How was Harold going to explain this one to his grandmother when she got home? Since he had moved in with her the year before, Harold had tried not to be any trouble. She was generous to let him stay, since he couldn’t afford a place of his own. Grandma was out at a church meeting, so it was just Harold and Anna.
