Summary Of 8 Secrets Of Success By Richard St. John
I watched 8 secrets of success by Richard St. John. The speaker was talking about the ways we can succeed in life. The first quote is from Freeman Thomas, says “I’m driven by my passion. Passion is something that we need to have when committing to anything that will help you to succeed. The second quote is David Gallo, says “Push yourself. Physically, mentally, you gotta push, push, push”. This means that if we need to succeed we need to push ourselves for anything we do in our life. And the third is from Norma Jewison, says “I think it all has to do with focusing yourself on one thing”. For this quote is trying to insist on how to put more focus on anything you do in life to get success. I really like these quotes because they are good

Learning for me started to become a scary movie I did not want to watch. I did not want to see myself get killed by failure and doubt that I would never make it out alive. Malcolm X in “Saved” talks about how he had to teach himself how to be educated in prison and how he succeeded at teaching himself to read and write. this took a lot of ambition hard work and commitment to want to succeed. Perri Klass, in her essay “Ambition,“ talks about these same qualities, how ambition is working hard and following your dreams. However, people have to be realistic about some of their dreams and know how much they can handle. These two essays stood out to me because I have always had enough ambition to take it upon myself to learn and to teach myself…

The ideas that are given in this book will stimulated my mind into becoming a leader and perhaps enabled me to bring my company ahead of the competitors. It was amazing to see how Collins spent nearly five years in comparing the mediocre companies with great companies. One most notable difference is on how the level 5 leader responds to each situation that the company faces. This book will helped me to understand that if a company becomes big, its not because of the skilled salesperson nor huge investment in advertising, but it is simply because the great CEO that bring the company into such success, was proactive in doing so, and was not afraid to face the brutal facts.…

Perseverance , patience and dedication leads to success, success does not mean reaching set goals but gaining something that is more beneficial. Perseverance is shown in “The Happiest Refugee” where the Anh and his family had all there sewing machines stolen this did not stop them they acted as soon as they needed to and I quote “there is now or too late” this shows that they are strong that they have the power to knock anything down even thought life put them to their knees. This is reflected by the movie “The Pursuit Of Happiness” as Christopher and his son strive and everything that hit them they would not give and everything they went through they would not give up they slept in the train to the toilet of a subway they did everything they had to do to live, get money and find success.…

The concept of passion is having the emotional drive to seek and capture whatever is imaginable. Without passion, it will be a struggle to push through the uncontrollable waves of problems that may occur. Having an emotional attachment to what one may seek, will allow them to thrive and persevere past anything. Even when times seem to be at rock bottom, and there is no climbing back up, having true passion will provide the drive to help the struggling to overcome and diligently work through tough times. Sam Grier, a motivational speaker about successful careers, explains his thoughts about the need for passion, “Regardless of your current job bringing passion to your work can lay a foundation for success. Not just success in your current job, but success for every rung you want to take up the company ladder. You may hate your job now, but the attitude you take towards it can play a pivotal role in your career. Passion is an emotion that comes from within you. It is your enthusiasm, your zeal, your drive and your motivation. You don’t want to just feel passionate about your job, you want to put passion into it. You want to apply all of your skills and put all of your energy into your work.” As Sam explains, the attitude put forth when taking on a workload and expecting success, makes all the…
