essay, A Life Beyond” Do What You want”, I feel a person must be passionate about what ever career they choose, whether they like their job or not. Showing passion does not limit nor does it exceed expectation. A person can be passionate at their job and not have passion for their job, meaning that a person does their job very well and complete, not lacking integrity. I believe that we must sometime do what is best of our circumstances and apply ourselves to the best of our abilities. If we were to possess a negative feeling on a consistent basis, then that negative feeling would break through and be displayed in our workmanship.
Upon viewing Paul Griffin’s YouTube presentation of A Life Beyond” Do What You Love”, Griffin expressed that it is a fine essay and that he felt that Dr.
Gordon Marino was experienced as well as a good guy. Throughout the YouTube video, Griffin feels that Marino use of expression and authority is very strong. Also Griffin continues to complement Marino for his use of rhetorical devices, how they are portrayed throughout the essay and how Marino used luminaries such as Kant, Nelson Mandelas, and Martin Luther King, to strengthen his creditability. Griffin later explains how Marino called attention to the use of higher power. Griffin further explains how the higher power is and can be conformed to each person’s
beliefs.
In reaction to Paul Griffin’s YouTube video, for starters I believe that Griffin demonstrated and emphasized the words to portray how Dr. Gordon Marino was wanting them to be expressed and experienced. It appeared that Griffin could relate to or has had past experiences within the topic. However, on the other hand, agreeing with some of his actions, but at times Griffin could have scaled back on the dramatics. His over emphasis was very distracting and became annoying taking away from the reading.
