For English 109w I struggled with the idea of free writing because I was concerned that I would practice incorrect grammar rules in my writing. Yet throughout the class as results I felt that perhaps my brainstorming and writing was a lot easier after free writing on a topic that popped into my head. However as I reread my paper I still found it difficult to revise my main idea. But recognize that the free riding unleashed my ideas so that I could go back and edit my paper multiple times by revising my main grammatical errors instead of struggling through a paragraph of traditional writing. For my future classes or profession I would tend to side on the free writing activities after using it in this class because when brainstorming you gave me the freedom to make mistakes in my writing and then go back and edit for more concise direction.
