With many of them being pushed into the restaurant industry, they brought their food tradition and recipe with them. This became a problem for many of the Chinese immigrants for a few reasons. For example, one reason this was a problem was due to the fact that a lot of their food relied on ingredients that are indigenous to the different regions of china. Unlike China, in the United Stated, we did not have access to ingredients such as rice, and certain vegetables. But they did not let that get them down. They tend to use what they had around them to prepare their dishes. This had a strong impact on the culinary culture of the area because it gave more variety to people in the area. Now with this being said this style of food did not pick up quickly.
