The protagonist of a story is the central character of the play around whom the central conflict emerges and who must resolve it in some way. In the Braggart Soldier, Palaestrio is the main protagonist and assumes the leading role in the orchestration of the plot to free himself and Philicomaceum. Community however, does not have one main character. Similar to the show Friends, Community is focused around 7 main characters, however the majority of the story lines and the most screen time would definitely go to Jeff, the former lawyer. The antagonist is the opposition to the protagonist and is the obstacle which the protagonist must overcome. In the episode of Community that I specifically studied A Fistfull of Paintballs, there is no particular antagonist. The episode is made to be like a war film except paintballing on campus, the antagonist in this case would be everybody, since it’s every-man-for-himself. In the Braggart Soldier, the antagonist is clearly Pyrgopolyneices, since he is the master of the slaves and is the individual that needs to be tricked in order for the protagonist (Palaestrio) to achieve his…

Think of this, you are stuck in a suburban mall that has a incurable super flu and going near someone is a death sentence, with no connection to the outside world. In No Safety in Numbers by Dayna Lorentz, we have four characters that switch around each chapter we have: Ryan, Shay, Lexi, Marco and at the very end we have the Senator. They all have one thing in common, they are stuck in a suburban mall with a biochemical bomb that contain a super flu, and to stop this super flu from spreading the quarantine the mall with over 3,000 people in it. It gets me thinking that maybe one of our characters could be an antagonist, and I think it is Marco.…

Characters such a the antagonist play an important role in every story. Without an antagonist the story may seem boring and very simple. The antagonist is the villain in the story, they are most likely the reason conflict is occurring. Almost every book I've read, every movie I've watched and every story ever told to me has had a bad guy in it. One villain I despise is the local police commissioner from The Book Of Henry, Glenn Sickleman.…

An archetypal hero is respected for their good moral character, maturity, and courage. In J.D. Salinger’s The Catcher in the Rye and Diablo Cody’s Juno there are excellent examples of antiheros, characters who lack heroic qualities, but are still considered to be protagonists. J.D. Salinger’s The Catcher in the Rye features Holden Caulfield, a sixteen year old teenager from New York, who has been expelled from school multiple times. Holden deals with the phoniness of his classmates, roommates, and teachers, and tries to come to terms with the fact that society is superficial and materialistic. The main character in Diablo Cody’s Juno is a sixteen year old girl by the name of Juno, who becomes pregnant and now regrets having intercourse in the first place. She suffers from general pregnancy sickness, emotional stress, and public humiliation. The protagonists in both pieces act as antiheros. Both Holden and Juno are ashamed of their actions, as they reflect poorly on their characters. Though they are embarrassed, both protagonists fail to improve their situations and instead behave like antiheros. Holden and Juno demonstrate cowardice, are irresponsible, and try desperately to preserve their childhood innocence.…

The first 4 lines it is indeed set the in park and Harwood has cleverly chosen the park as the setting of the poem as many people see the park as a mundane, boring place.
