Love can be a variety of things. Love means so many different things to different people. Love ranges from affection to pleasure. Love is an everlasting affection that a human being feels towards each other. In the poem “Love in Brooklyn “the author talks about two individuals who shared the same job and drink at a bar. The man tells the woman he loves her while he is blowing his nose. This leads readers wondering if this man is actually being sincere with the women. One may think of this act as distributing while others may think of it as disgusting. He tells her he saw her move up from job position. He compared her to a tank he saw during World War II. This poem leaves the reader questioning as to whether or not his love for the women
is really love or something else. Like many women, this women particular does not believe the man when he tells her that he loves her. As a result, she throws him a drink. The man insist that he is different. Later she joked with the man. In conclusion, both the man and the women come to an understanding that they had an affection towards each other.
