Summary Of Neferet's Curse

The book I read this quarter was Neferet’s Curse by P.C Cast and Kristin Cast, it is also a novella of the House of Night series. Its Lexile level is 930. This book is set in 1893 and is about 16 year old Emily Wheiler and how she wants to be like normal girls her age (despite what her father wants) especially after her mother's death. Responsibilities came with her mother's death such as being the lady of the Wheiler house, and letting go of the girl she used to be to become the woman people need her to be. Emily’s father, a bank president, has had an even harder time letting go of Emily’s mother.
