The Pima and the Pueblo tribes were descendants of the Hohokam and Anasazi, lived in the dry, harsh environment of the Southwest. Two related tribes, the Pueblo and the Hopi, left the cliff houses of their ancestors the Anasazi. The Pueblo built new settlements near rivers, like the Rio Grande, to irrigate their farms.
