1. Waris Ahluwalia kicked off the plane because of his turban- 8 February,
2016
In an incident, dated 8th February, 2016, a well-known actor and designer Waris
Ahluwalia was kicked off the plane because of his turban. He has modeled for major ad
campaigns but is still listed in the racial profiling. AeroMexico, did not allow this turban
wearer to board the plane because he was wearing a turban. He was on his way to the
New York Fashion Week. A cruel act of racial profiling, creating a huge impact in the
minds of the people who either witnessed the incident or read about it. (Ref. A. Nadya,

2. Black motorists are twice as likely as white drivers to be stopped
by
Kalamazoo officers
In an inspection conducted by John Lamberth, a pioneer of the racial profiling research,
it was stated that the black motorists were twice as likely as white drivers to be stopped
by the Kalamzoo officers at 11 intersections. The study was carried around for a period
of over 12 months and it ended in February 2013. These motorists were stopped and
searched, but the white drivers were more likely to be found with a contraband. Just 3
years ago, in 2013 this study showed how severe was the case of racial profiling. (Ref.
