Simon Vs. The Homosapiens Agenda is about him struggling to come out. He’s not necessarily Afraid of the idea of coming out. Simon is more of afraid of what people at school say about him. He is afraid of people calling him names and judging him. As in his family he is not afraid to come out because he knows that they will except him but he still has the feeling of being afraid. In the book Simon is secretly talking to a boy who goes to his school or at least the boy he’s talking to says he does. they have code names, so that means that they both don’t know each other The boy who is talking to goes by the name of blue. Simon goes by the name Jacques. While he is sending emails back-and-forth with blue he is struggling to come out. He wants to come out but
Well except for blue but simon doesn’t even know who he is or even if he is telling the truth about everything that he is saying to him through their emails. As he is going through a struggle he runs into some trouble. One day when he was emailing blue in the school’s library, and he forgets to log out of his account. Later One of his acquaintances comes up to him and showed him pictures of his emails with blue. At this moment simon freaks out. He doesn't know what to do and how to deal with it. This acquaintance is named Martin and simon doesn’t really know him that well so he is worried about what he might do wish his pictures. Before Simon can do anything Martin tells him that he’s not going to tell anyone. Unless Simon gets him a date with one of his friends. Now simon is a little confused on what to say but after they talked about it he finally agrees to do it. That’s what simon wants Martain to think but he doesn’t actually want to set his friend up with him for two reasons 1. He doesn’t just want to like force his friend to become his girlfriend and 2.
