When Is It Too Good To Be True? In society, the act of cheating continues to grow and become a natural occurrence among the general population as it is today. Men lie through there smooth tongue and heart-felt actions. They will do anything to get to your heart. These actions bring up the life question “when is it too good to be true.” In the story “How to Talk to a Hunter,” a woman is fed with endless conversations of the love a hunter has for her. He lets her hear everything she needs to hear in order to open herself up to him. Once a cheater, always a cheater, and when this happens, you can never be trusted again. No matter how many times you present the sweetest of actions, the trust and adoration expressed toward the culprit is vanished. Nothing can remain the same. When you find evidence of this type of behavior, suspicion arises. The woman in this story was given this same type of treatment. The hunter made her feel at peace, and exemplified countless actions of a cheater to her. He made her feel at home as he gave her a key to the house, looked after her, and told her she was always on his mind. He did this by saying “He’ll tell you to wear your seat belt, to dress warmly, to drive safely. He’ll say you are always on your mind.” These actions, although sweet, can be evidence of a cheater when you have your suspicions. In the story, the woman knows he is going out and hanging out with old friends. When she confronts him about her knowledge, he gives the most sincere and emotional answer to fulfill your question to the fullest. “He will say whatever he needs to win. He’ll say it is just an old friend. He’ll say the visit was all the friend’s idea. He’ll say the night away from you has given
