Murphy Murphy hasn’t had the best of luck during his lifetime. He doesn’t really know why bad luck has always been with him, but what he does know is that it never does him any good. “On the other hand, as I lie here in my hospital bed trying to work out exactly how I got here, there are times when I wonder if being born dead might not have been the best thing.” (Coville, 1). Murphy had one of his “bad luck moments” when he choked while acting in a skit he agreed to do with Tiffany, the girl he liked. He knew that having his crush ask him to be in a play with her was too good to be true,
