Stakeholder Influences on Programs

Programs must often accommodate the necessities or opportunities of numerous stakeholders, which could embrace the program manager and staff, the finance institute, and the public the program helps. In some human services programs, one of the most prominent stakeholders is the funding institution. The funding institution frequently has its personal beliefs for the program and its assessment.

With the involvement of diverse target populations (the elderly, families and the young families moving in), in the development and implementation of programs and evaluations, the stakeholders will always be in the loop. By knowing that empowerment is the key to respect, the organization is supporting diversity and showing the residents, and their families, that there is a mutual respect and the bond of loyalty is iron clad. Maintaining open-mindedness in data collection, planning, and data analysis will allow not only for culturally appropriate alternative interpretations and validate options, but it will also help the managers to use bias free language and literatures, as to not offend anyone that has a stake in the business that could possibly be offended. This organization pursues to increase entree and opportunity for persons and relatives who are vulnerable and low-income by consolidating human services organizations and endorsing new replies to challenge in the area. (“The Kresge Foundation”, 2014). Many of the residents at the Continental Senior Center are on a fixed income Per Appendix B, nearly 50% of the residents have a poverty-level income thus qualifying them for the services provided by the Kresge Foundation. The Kresge Foundation, states that they want to see people living in poverty have the chance to attain well-being and lead self-sufficient, self-determined, productive lives, thus what the residence at the senior center is living on a day to day basis. This foundation also states that they partner with other foundations and with the community, private and nonprofit divisions, and organize their money for the advantage of multiservice establishments and the society they help. The Kresge Foundation does not fund organizations interested in building capacity, they will not take on individuals, and organizations that discriminate based on race, color, religion, gender, national origin, citizenship status, age, disability, sexual orientation or veteran status. They look for establishments and systems situated to notify and impact communities of practice, and build the community will for reassuring
