Prior to this course and reading the chapter. I would say that I was able to multi-task in some ways, but at times I would not be able to, especially if situation was too chaotic. Now, as far as thinking that I was good at multitasking, I would say that there were times I was fairly decent at it, especially the time that I was a supervisor in charge of digitizing, embroidery and managing all the functions of the job, including the employees. I would prefer to do the things I really enjoy rather than the things that are important. I sometimes use these things to make excuses for not the things that I should be doing. I tend to give more importance to these things at any given time of the day, it makes prioritizing these activities that much harder. I always believed doing the easy tasks first and getting them done then proceeding to complete the harder tasks last. My problem is I get easily distracted with my zappers. Having taking this GS 1145 class has shown me how to reconstruct and use my time wisely. By using a To Do List will help improve me with using my time wisely. This will motivate me to list my easy and hard things to do so I can complete in a timely manner. In contrast with the Self-Assessment, I consider myself to be more of a morning person, so getting started on these tasks soon after I wake every morning would ensure successful completion. Also limiting contact with others while working on these tasks would eliminate the temptation to enjoy my zappers. I also need to set aside certain days of the week to complete these tasks as well. Now that I have a plan, I plan to implement it a soon as possible in hopes that my school work gets done and still have time for my zappers.…

People want to save time, so they can have more free time. They are using technology to achieve their goals because, with the technology, they can manage their work and do it faster. “People who are continually distracted by email, alerts, and other messages understand less than who are able to concentrate” para 2, Dose the internet make you dumber? (Carr, 2010). This is mean people who use many things at the same time as technology, they understand less than people who use one thing and focus in it. But Pinker says, ““Genuine multitasking, too, has been exposed as a myth, not just by laboratory studies”. (2010). This is mean multitasking is considered as a story but not true, not just something people study and do in a lab. This is important…
