Survey on Hiv Awareness in Pulo Ii Dalahican, Cavite City

Introduction AIDS (Acquired immune deficiency syndrome or acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) is a disease caused by a virus called HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus). The illness alters the immune system, making people much more vulnerable to infections and diseases. This susceptibility worsens as the disease progresses. Both the virus and the disease are often referred to together as HIV/AIDS. People with HIV have what is called HIV infection. As a result, some will then develop AIDS. The development of numerous opportunistic infections in an AIDS patient can ultimately lead to death. HIV can be transmitted in many ways, such as vaginal, oral sex, anal sex, blood transfusion, and contaminated hypodermic needles. In connection with that, most number of people is unaware of what this disease is capable of. The disease itself and the awareness of the people are significant to solve the issue. Unawareness of the disease will lead to another problem. If no action will be done, worst situations may occur. Therefore, it is a need to go on with the problem and make a research about the awareness of people in the said disease. This research paper will discuss everything about the disease and the importance of a person’s awareness regarding it.

Statement of the Problem The objectives of the study are to identify the scope of awareness and the knowledge of people in Pulo II Dalahican Cavite City about HIV/Aids, also, to provide some alternatives or solutions to widen their awareness.
