Susan B Anthony Dares To Vote Analysis
In the text “ Don't Give Up The Fight and, “Susan B Anthony Dares To Vote” they both share the same theme of perseverance .both characters pushed around and mistreated because they were girls that wanted to be treated equal. In “Don’t Give Up The Fight, Ava is pushed around by the coach and the boy on her track team. Also the boys on her team and the coach tell her that she is not good enough to be on track team because she was a young woman . And in “Susan B Anthony Dares To Vote” she is pushed around by men that do not appreciate woman's qualities, people believed that women were nothing but to something that men owned. Although they are similar they have many differences, from each other by the risks they take and how they handle their problems that both characters face.

The theme perseverance is shown in the story and the article “Don't Give Up The Fight” in the passage Ava is a girl who is judged by her track team because she is a girl and the boys on her track team bully her because they make jokes about her also the boys push her around. But Ava is put down by,

The theme perseverance is shown throughout the article by she continued to keep going and having the chance of being hurt or even killed, by a man because she was a women rallying up people and chanting.Back then they did not appreciate a woman's values and their importance was very low compared to men. This shows perseverance because even though she can be hurt or killed at any moment she is strong enough to keep going and push through and fight for what she felt was right.She even stood up to a male judge and proved herself to the jury and even though it was intimidating she backed herself up and got women's rights to vote by even taking the risks and dressing up like a man to vote and persevering through the tough times in her

    In the 19th century America, women, children and slaves had the same legal status. They were all considered the sole propriety of the “owner”, who was the husband and the father. This caused many women to feel left out, unimportant and discriminated. Not a single man would want to trade places with a woman.
