Following is a detailed implementation strategy for the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” CSR activity in M/s Runners:
1) Develop an integrated CSR decision making structure:
As CSR is primarily concerned with transparency, liability and performance, it is essential for the CSR decision making structure to be an important part of the organization’s governance activities and be evident. Following are the considerations to be taken into account when designing a CSR decision making structure:
a) Identify or appoint people or committees:
Identify and recognize or appoint people or committees at the highest levels of the company who will undertake key CSR decision making and oversight responsibilities and accountabilities. Assigning CSR responsibilities to senior management guarantees that CSR subjects will receive the attention they deserve and forms a solid foundation for an effective chain of CSR accountability within the organization. I would suggest M/S Runner’s to appoint a sitting board member along with a new member who has specific CSR expertise; to take in all the broad responsibility related to Swachh Bharat Abhiyan as CSR activity.

Training can be a key enabler for delivering on a CSR strategy and initiatives. The employees directly attached to CSR can be given training to recycle and reuse the defective and waste tyres from the company’s workshop into something which can be used as a décor in various places or make innovative rides and slides for kids at the garden and other such uses. This not only eliminates the waste and rejected tyres from the workshop but also help the
