SWOT Analysis of ebay Inc.

eBay Inc. (eBay) is a US-based company, engaged in providing online marketplaces for the sale of goods and services. The various other services offered by the company include online commerce (ecommerce), online payment services, and related online communications. eBay operates three business segments, namely, Marketplaces, which offers infrastructure for global online commerce activities; Payment, which engages in online payment solutions; and Communications segment offers connectivity to traditional fixed-line and mobile telephones. The company, along with its subsidiaries, operates across the US, Germany, the United Kingdom and Rest of world. The company is headquartered in California, the US.

SWOT analysis is a marketing audit that considers an organization’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats involved in a project or in a business venture. It involves specifying the objective of the business venture or project and identifying the internal and external factors that are favorable and unfavorable to achieving that objective.
