Payless Shoes history, begin over 56 years ago, by two well known cousins name Louis and Shoal Pozez in Topeka, Kansas. Louis and Shoal wanted to make fashionable shoes accessible to customers who didn’t want to spend a lot of money. They originated the concept of putting the shoes on the shelves where customers could browse the styles and sizes. Our product and our self-selection store concept caught on with customers, and Payless grew fast. Today, Payless is reenergizing there founders vision to make great design and fashion accessible to all customers. To celebrate our renewal and change the way people think about Payless, we’ve given ourselves a new makeover. We have a new logo, our merchandise is fresh and stylish, our marketing is more vibrant and we are residing our stores. Most of all, Payless is changing their attitude and there self-image (Payless, 2012). As it is mention, in the Payless mission statement, “Payless mission is to deliver a wonderful shopping experience that exceeds our customer’s expectations. Delivering this wonderful experience has little to do with displays and shoe racks; it’s all about our associates and their relationship with customers. When customers come to Payless, they can expect helpful service from people who love shoes and fashion. And, our associates are as passionate about helping our customers as they are about the products they sell (Payless, 2012).” Infrequent to most, but as for Payless stores, according to their history, and missions have shown that organizational strength is to keep their prices lower and being friendly to their customers. However, Payless is known for sticking to its values by low and medium priced shoes because there reputation was founded on the doctrine of “wanted to make stylish shoes available to customers who didn’t want to spend a lot of money,” mention Payless
