On another note, being the change is fine but wanting everyone to join in can be a struggle. Goslin wrote “if students and teachers aren’t conscious about the tidiness of the school or aren’t inwardly seeking a positive role model to inspire them to act, the leader’s symbolic act is lost” (Goslin, 2012, pg. 43). In other words, everyone has to be on the same page. Yes, the individual could do it by themselves, but wanting others to want the same and have the same vision requires understanding and modeling. Example: military service is not an easy commitment and it often requires a lot out of you. Climbing the ranks introduces you to not only more money but more responsibility. A leader is required to learn so much and sometimes without enough time. Learning to execute on a job you’re supposed to do requires training and application. Some people have one or the other, and sometimes they have both. The military as a whole has all four leadership frames and to continue with a career in the military requires you to learn all four and apply them
