To start, uniforms will make children get bullied outside of school. When this happens the children will feel like if random kids are bullying them from other schools because of the uniforms they are required to wear they will feel very bad about themselves. In addition to that, wearing school uniforms will take away the children’s freedom of expression. (Source one) Although the students might get bullied outside of school, some may argue that the students will not get bullied as much in school. When this maybe true, think about facts. Students already have restrictions to clothing and what to wear and what not to wear. Limiting the students even more is not fair to them. When doing this the students will feel like their voices in how they present themselves is gone. (Source two) To conclude, wearing uniforms will take away children’s freedom of expression, they will get bullied outside of school, and children already have restrictions when it comes to clothing. …show more content…
Moving on, another reason why students should not be forced to wear uniforms is the distraction.
School uniforms are now not only going to distract students but also staff. The staff members will be fixated on the correct clothing attire with the uniforms. If one child wears the wrong shoes, or shirt, or pants then the staff will tell them to get the right attire. (Source three) When doing this the students will have to take time out of their school day and change into a new uniform. In addition to the staff being distracted by the kids, the other students might start questioning the child’s clothing if something is not being worn correctly. To finish, if a child is not wearing the correct uniform, and forgetting a piece of the uniform then the child will get in trouble. Now clothing will be even more important than it already
is.
To continue, making children wear school uniforms will make a horrible financial issue for the students families. When some may argue saying that school uniforms will make the families have a better financial plan, because if there are uniforms then the parents will not have to pay for 80 shirts and pants. When some may argue this, that is not entirely true. Each year the students at a school will have to buy a whole new uniform set including, new shoes, new shirts, pants, and other things. In addition to buying the uniforms, the parents will have to also buy new “normal” everyday clothing and shoes. So, the financial issue uniforms will bring to the families can easily be prevented, by not having school uniforms. (Source 3&2) To conclude this argument, having school uniforms will make the families have more financial issues that can be avoided very easily.
