In the Arabic countries there was a lot of protesting and a lot of people asking for freedom and to change their president like Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, and Yemen. All of these country got what they want but Syria it is still suffering. When people started protesting it turned that beautiful county to a place full of racism, hatred, shooting, bombing, and killing innocent people. The war turned it to a place where you only find destructions and partitions. There is a lot of reason that made me move from Syria and leave everything behind.
When I was sixteen I was in the tenth grade. The life in Syria was so simple and sweet we used to go to school and hang out with our friends and never worried of what time we go back because it was safe. Suddenly people started to protest and nobody took their claimants into consideration which made more people go and protest and they were stopped with weapons not solutions. When I first arrived to the US, meeting my sister after two years was so 7beautiful. Of course we knew it was going to be hard at first because of the difference in everything. It was a new culture and new language that we faced a lot of difficulties getting used to it. Everything was weird we could not get used to it my mom felt like a stranger without a language to speak. I was so scared to apply for a work and not be able to communicate. I applied anyway and got a job at day care were I love kids. To get the job I had to do the fingerprints which I applied to and the said that I need to get my background check from Syria and that was impossible. I was so frustrated because I needed that job. The director there found a way to let me work there which was a good start. I began to communicate and interact more with people here in English. My mom’s English got better. My brother is working and studying. He also met new friends. We went to the mosque and met a lot of good friends that am currently close to. I studied a lot for the TOEFL test to get in college, and I started college last semester I am really happy there. I began to have a new life with job, college, and friends. That is when I moved
