Tale Of Two Cities Recalled To Life

Recalled to life is when a person comes out of a hole and is brought back to normalcy. A Tale of Two Cities, written by Charles Dickens, has many underlying themes expressed in the novel. One theme that occurs throughout the novel is being recalled to life by the ones they love. Once each character is recalled to life there are consequences that come with it. Several characters were recalled to life throughout the novel, examples of characters who were recalled to life were Jerry Cruncher, Sydney Carton, and Dr Manette.

The way Sydney Carton get recalled to life is by loving someone,and that someone was Lucie Manette. At the beginning of the book Sydney Carton was the guy that “nobody had known of”(79), because every time you sa sydney Carton he would either be down an ally, or he would be hidden by objects so that no one can see him.
