A High Stakes Action Comedy
Tales From The Borderlands feature two protagonists; Rhys, an ambitious and cutthroat executive of the Hyperion Corporation, and Fiona, a street-smart con-artist hailing from Pandora. Control over the two alternates back and forth over the course of the game, where we experience both parties side of the story - sides that often contradict one another in some of the game's more memorable comedic moments.

However, his workplace archnemesis--and one of the Season's primary antagonists--Vasquez has "replaced" Rhys' former boss, Mr. Henderson. Instead of rewarding Rhys' with a promotion, he quite gleefully demotes him to a janitorial position. While Rhys receives a new occupational assignment, he learns of an imminent deal for a sought-after and valuable Vault Key. Together with his best friend and accountant extraordinaire Vaughn, and requisition specialist Yvette, Rhys decides to beat Vasquez to the punch and hijack the deal. In what will prove to be a common theme for most the protagonists' plans in Tales From The Borderlands, the scheme not only fails; it fails miserably and hilariously. The Hyperion employees are ambushed by the very first people they encounter on Pandora. However, the pair miraculously ends up at the agreed upon the site for the deal where August and Shera awaits
