However, throughout our discussion we talked about some of our differences, such as her being a twin and having a younger brother, and me being raised into a semi-religious family. Also, because I am white, people often assume that I am of a more conservative mindset and that I do not support the advancement of rights for people of color, which is untrue. In order to rebel against this stereotype, I attempt to be both politically active and educated to support other people's viewpoints. Also, because I was raised into the Catholic faith, people assume that I do not support and am intolerant to reproductive rights and the rights of the LGBTQ+ community. I rebel this stereotype by disagreeing with many of the teachings that the Catholic church teaches. Also, because I am relatively young, many adults tend to be dismissive of my opinions and assume I do not have enough life experience, or non-technological human interaction to have a valid viewpoint.
