Tattooine In Star Wars

In the opening scenes of the movie Star Wars by George Lucas Princess Leia, who is a leader of the Rebel Alliance, has stolen the plans for the Galactic Empire’s new weapon, The Death Star. Leia has to get the plans off the ship so she records a message to Obi Wan Kenobi, an old jedi knight in hiding, and loads them onto a droid named R2D2. She sends him and another droid, C3P0, off of the ship on an escape pod which lands on the planet Tattooine. This is the home planet of the protagonist Luke Skywalker. The droids eventually end up being picked up by scavenger people who sell droids and other mechanical things to the people of Tattooine. The scavenger people come upon Luke’s farm and sell him the two droids.

It is predictable and safe and familiar, unlike space travel and the Death Star. The best setting for the conscious realm in the movie is the planet Tattooine, it is where Luke has grown up and it is what he has known all his life. He is familiar with his surroundings. His life and family are based around this planet. The only other example of the conscious realm would be Yavin 4, where Luke and his friends receive their medals and accolades for destroying the Death
