The advancement of technology helped develop a more efficent method in identifying criminals biometrically through improvements in databases.A new biometric system, the Next Generation Identification (NGI), was evolved by the FBI from the previous system,to better improve the effect and accuracy of biometric scans when addressing the evolving local, state, tribal, federal, national and international criminal justice requirements.
