Teen Activists may start because they have had rough times in their past. For example, Time For Kids tells us Malala was shot by the Taliban on October 9, 2012 (age 15) as she was on a school bus. At age 12 she found out that the Taliban didn't want girls to be able to go to school and have power like men. Her mission was for girls to be allowed to go to school, but the Taliban didn't want that. Even after this attack Malala stills wants to fight for women's rights. Malala also started because she wanted to fix the problem of girls not being allowed to go to school. Even though she was shot, she was so determined that she kept on going and wanted to try to still fix the problem. Malala describes by saying, “All I want is education, and I am not afraid of no one.” Alex Lin is a great example of this thesis because he wanted to reduce the amount of E-waste on our earth. He was determined to do the most he could do to try and reduce and teach how to save our planet from E-waste. Lastly, Alex Libby wanted to solve the biggest problem in our world, bullying. He stood up to all bullies and made a documentary to show how much of a problem bullying is. Some teen activists just want to fix a problem in our world and make our world a better
