Malala is another great activist.
Malala was named after a girl called Malalai. After she saw her country losing in war she stepped up into battle and encouraged all the soldiers to fight. Because of her, her country won. In Malala’s home country, Girls were treated differently. They believed that girls should stay at home and boys should go to school.Malala and other girls still went to school though. In 2009 Malala became a girls education activist. She went with her dad to speak in events. “Malala began writing a blog for the BBC Urdu service under a pseudonym, about fears that her school would be attacked.” When the Taliban(A terrorist Group) invaded Pakistan they banned girls from going to school and threatened Malala. At 14 years old she was shot in the head. Miraculously She survived. She influences girls all around the world. Without her many more girls would not be able to go to
school.
Martin Luther King Jr. Was a great man who stepped up to solve civil rights problems in this world.King was a civil rights activist who led many Parades and gave many famous speeches. His influence is Gandhi. When Rosa Parks was arrested for not letting white man have her seat on bus, Martin Luther king Jr. Stepped up. He asked and helped people to boycott the buses.”During these days of boycott, King was arrested, his home was bombed, he was subjected to personal abuse.” But after all these set downs Martin Luther King Jr. Still protested. He helped many people step up for themselves. King was made president of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference in the year 1957. “In the eleven-year period between 1957 and 1968 King traveled over six million miles and spoke over twenty-five hundred times.” In this time period King made the government pass the civil rights movement. Sadly, King was assassinated in 1968. Still to this day Martin Luther King Jr. Is an inspiration to people of all ages.
All of the activists I talked about today have all had problems around them. They knew these problems would hurt others and stepped up. If they did not be activists, who knows if our lives would be the same. If there was a problem in your community, would you step up?
