Common definition of terrorism is the systematic use or threatened use of violence to intimidate a population or government and thereby effect political, religious, or ideological change.[1][2] Terrorism in India, according to the Home Ministry, poses a significant threat to the state. Terrorism in India is basically two types external and internal, external terrorism emerge from neighboring countries and internal terrorism emulates from religious or communal violence and Naxalite–Maoist insurgency. Terror activities involve either Indian or foreign citizens. Terrorism has been national threat ever since independence. According to me terrorism per se has no identity such as color, religion, ethnicity etc. But unfortunately people especially from our political class indulge in divisive politics by giving some identity to terrorism rather going to the genesis of the problem. IN WORLD INDIA IS IN TERRORISM POSITION IS 4 TH WITH 8.15 GLOBAL TERRORISM REPORT (GTR). The only remedy to this evil appears to be the diagnosis of the root cause for each act of terrorism and if there is a genuine reason behind it, it is better to concede the demand. Terrorism has now become an international phenomenon. There are terrorists in developed and advanced countries as well as developing countries like India. But for now I want to talk about it only in our country.
I want to highlight an incident. A heavily armed team of terrorists and Pakistani troops ambushed an Indian Army Patrol along the line of control in Poonch sector of J&K in early hours of Tuesday killing 5 Indian soldiers from 21st Bihar Regiment. This is a heinous, atrocious and dastardly humiliating act which has been executed against our nation by some psychic and insane beings. The government of India is very cool and calm with this topic.
