Texting And Driving Affecting Teens
How does texting and driving affect teens? Have you seen a wreck from someone texting and driving? Well, it is not very pretty. There is a really high chance someone died in that crash. If texting and driving is illegal then why is it the leading cause of accidents for teenagers?
Do you know how dangerous it is to text and drive? Text messaging on average can cause a crash risk 23 times worse than driving not distracted. In the article it states, “Texting while driving is becoming a problem of epidemic proportion, causing thousands of fatalities each year.” (Muehling, Kareklas). Texting and driving is really dangerous it can cause up to 1.6 million car crashes a year.
The fine for texting and driving is too small. It averages out at 100 dollars
