The fine for texting and driving is too small. It averages out at 100 dollars
for a penalty. The minimum penalty is 20 dollars while the highest penalty is 10,000 dollars but that is only in one state. It should be around 400 dollars minimum for texting and driving, but in some states there is no ban at all. Some Officers will not pull you over for texting and driving, but if you are speeding while your texting and driving they will write you up for both.
If parents text and drive, it will influence their kids to do the same. Parents are a major influence on their children, drive distracted, then they will assume that it’s okay for them to do it as well.
