1950’s Social and Political issues The 1950’s has been portrayed as the decade of prosperity. Throughout the 1950’s there were many Political issues like a cold war, a war against Korea. There was also a big step in segregation between The 1954 Brown v. Board of Education. The events that the United States went through during the 1950’s is what made The United States today.
The 1950’s just wasn't peace and comfort, there were a lot of problems like the war against Korea. In 1950, just five years after World War 2 ended, the United States found itself involved in another shooting war, the U.S. military forces were under the supervision of the United Nations and were pitted against the Communist North Koreans and Chinese.
