A cultural continuities in Japan would be feudalism. Japan became decentralized, where all people in Japan was under the rule of Tokugawa shogun or their emperor at that time. The Qing’s dynasty trades good were silk, tea and ceramic. China utilized one port per good to control their trading system and they taxed every good. By using one port, it was easier to maintain their trading system.
Russian empire encouraged settlements which helped expand their territories. The Russians would expand by conquering parts of Sabria. when Russia conquer large amount of land, they would give it to people. With Russia’s land that was distributed, there were serfs that came along with the land.
A cultural continuity would be Peter the Great reducing Russia’s isolation and increasing Russia empire’s size and power .
Russia economic growth depended on the fur trade and the rise of serfs. The Russian had a Capital Petersburg that emphasized it’s trade.
