The Bermuda Triangle
The Bermuda Triangle Mystery

I. The Bermuda Triangle has been responsible for numerous queer incidents ever since the 19th century. Ships and planes have mysteriously disappeared when entering these perplexing waters. Is the Bermuda Triangle really a place of mysterious danger or is it just a result of coincidence?

II. Navigational tools and compass malfunctions are frequently reported when in the Bermuda Triangle areas and no real scientific explanations have been provided.

A. Mysterious Disappearance of Flight 19
1. Compass malfunctions, the pilots could not locate where they exactly were.
2. Bermuda Triangle is one out of only two places on earth where the compass points to true north rather than magnetic north. (Agonic line once passed through Bermuda triangle, which people blame for compass malfunctions, but now it is somewhere near the Gulf of Mexico.)
B. Christopher Columbus’s discoveries while exploring the Atlantic Ocean 1. His compass went super haywire.
2. Scientists say that Columbus had just met with “magnetic variation” or that his compass had been disturbed by some other close-by magnetic force.

III. Ghost and abandoned ships have been found lurking in these waters. Ships and planes mysteriously disappear in this area and no wreckage or signs of them has ever been found.

A. Mary Celeste — the Ghost Ship 1. The ship was found off the coast of Portugal with no one on the ship. 2. There are many plausible theories for this bizarre incident, such as, piracy, insurance scam, storm, and a possible threat of explosion on the ship. However, none of these theories have any real, strong evidence. B. Ellen Austin 1. The ship came across a ship on its trip from London to New York. Strangely, there was no one on the ship although the ship was moving at a good speed. The captain on Ellen Austin sent a skeleton crew to man the ship and planned for the two ships to sail side by side to New York. However, a storm

Well pigeons and sea turtles are not the only creatures on this Earth to use a magnetic compass. But I found that sea turtles use inclination angle and intensity to follow certain routes in the ocean, they call these routes gyres. The gyre is known to be warm and have lots of food, but where the gyre is cold there is less food and turtles that follow these routes tend to die. Also a lot of these creatures tend to have a substance in their brains called magnetite, and apparently this is what causes the animals to detect the Earth’s magnetic field.…

On February 6, they encountered really high winds, and all of the passengers had to say in their rooms for hours to avoid being injured. The ship was even leaning at a 45-degree angle at one point during this storm. Another Royal Caribbean ship also had a sad incident this year when a 46-year-old Texas man fell 100 feet overboard while traveling on Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas off the coast of Florida.…

A peculiar triangular area located off the western part of the United States coast in the Atlantic Ocean, believed to be the playground for mysterious forces, surrounds the many theories known as the Bermuda Triangle. Location is important for any navigation tactics across a large body of water. Within the Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil’s Triangle; it can be difficult as well due to the environment (Bermuda Triangle or Devil’s Triangle). Wild theories have been the source of the Bermuda Triangle’s reality, but they, however, have not And cannot prove it exists (What Is the Bermuda Triangle?). Logical knowledge of why this distinct area has caused so much dismay follows simple reasons such as abrupt storms, environmental factors even…

If a ship were in the area of the blowout, the water beneath it would suddenly become much less dense. The vessel could sink and sediment could quickly cover it as it settles onto the sea floor (Obringer). Even planes flying overhead could catch fire during such a blowout by the methane gas escalating in the atmosphere. Hurricanes can be a likely cause as well, because it’s in a hurricane zone. Some people also think that pirates or other raiders might be a reason.…

Many ships and planes were lost in triangle leaving behind unknown explanation but flight 19 is the most famous incident. It was already 4 month that world war II had over. Still it was the mission for the thirteen men to fly due east which was 56 miles to hens and chicken shoals to conduct practice-bombing runs. After that objective had been completed, the flight plan called for them to fly an additional sixty-seven miles east, and then turn north for seventy-three miles and finally straight back to base. This course would take them on a triangular path over the sea. About an hour and a half Lt. Taylor reported that his compass is broken and its not working. Planes today have a number of ways that they can check their current position, including listening to a set of GPS (Global Positioning Satellites) in orbit around the Earth. He was a good pilot, but he hadn't spent a lot of time flying east toward the Bahamas, which was where he was going on that day. Apparently Taylor had become confused at some point in the flight. For some reason Taylor thought the flight had started out in the wrong direction and had headed south toward the Keys, instead of east. By 4:45 P.M. Inside the control room it was obvious to the people that Taylor was hopelessly lost. He was told to turn control of the flight over to one of his students, but apparently he didn't. After a time, connection was disappeared from the people in the…

The official report by the U.S. government reads that Earhart and Noonan ran out of fuel, crashed into the water, and sank (“What Happened to Amelia Earhart?”). One of the most common hypotheses made about Earhart and Noonan’s death is that they landed on Nikumaroro (“What Happened to Amelia Earhart?”). For a while this island was left uninvestigated because at the time it was “uninhabited” (“What Happened to Amelia Earhart?”). Evidence later found by the TIGHAR, or International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery, contradicts this idea with The Earhart Project (“What Happened to Amelia Earhart?”). TIGHAR found improvised tools, remnants of shoes, traces of a campfire, and aircraft wreckage that looked much like Earhart’s plane (“What Happened to Amelia Earhart?”).…
