Step 1: Annotate the Documents
A. Read each document carefully, underlining key phrases and words that address the essay question. Use the margins to record possible bucket categories for each document and to make brief notes to use in your essay. (For at timed-essay test you are usually given 15mns for this.)
Step 2: Bucket the Documents
A. Decide which documents belong together because they have something in common. Group the documents in the most obvious way. Show some sort of insight into how the documents relate to each other.
