Francine meets Mickey at a dance, and is introduced by a friend. The symbolic interaction is Francine’s mom reaction to her daughter’s situation and how she react to it taking Mickey’s side. Francie’s mom way of thinking seems to be from the past as she would have grown up during a more patriarch type of society. Mickey’s and Francine’s parent show a negative correlation between education and social decisions; more education better social decisions, less education worse social decisions. This stems to all parts of their like which can lead to troubled or naïve children, that ultimately become adults that have their own kids and a cycle begins of poverty, poor education, and bad parenting.
