If we continue in this we will walk in death because to be carnally minded is death. For the wages of sin is death, and if we walk after the flesh it produces death, not only the eventual cessation of life from the body but the bringing in of sickness and disease. The carnal mind is in rebellion to God and His ways, and if we continue on this path it ultimately brings in physical death, but before the physical death occurs, what is experienced is the roots of physical death, sickness, and disease.

The Lord Jesus demonstrated the life of God while He walked on earth, and this life is now available to the one who believes in Him by faith. In order to walk in the power of this indestructible life, we must have our minds renewed, and washed by the word of God. This new life in Christ cannot be ours as long as we remain carnally minded because the carnal mind is full of doubt and does not trust God. If we desire to enter into the fullness of God in Christ and enter into the blessedness of the life that the Heavenly Father and our blessed Lord Jesus enjoys, then we must be spiritually minded. This is completely the work of the Holy Spirit to transform, renew, and to wash our minds, enabling us to be spiritually minded, and to be full of faith, which opens up to us all the fullness of God demonstrated by the Lord Jesus Christ and the life He lived.
