The Cleveland Cavaliers Case Study
The Cleveland Cavaliers are not in a good shape right now. Though they still hold the top position as of this moment, they stumble to three consecutive losses but two of those losses came from low-ranked teams, the New Orleans Pelicans and Sacramento Kings. And this could a big concern for their title hopes this season.

Before the 3 losses, the Cavs also got a 35-point beating from arch-rival Golden State Warriors. That and the latest defeats seems to be signifying that they are losing composure going to the postseason. According to SB Nation, after their loss to the Pelicans, LeBron James criticized

You know what really tears my ACL? Bandwagons fans. If you don’t know what a bandwagon fan is, they’re anyone who claims they are a "fan" of a particular sports team, even though they had no prior support for/interest in the team until that team started winning. These types of fans only show playoff interest, have probably never watched a regular season game, don't own any type of team merchandise, nor would they buy any. For example, a lot of people were bandwagon fans during the years of 2010 to 2013 when LeBron James and Chris Bosh joined the Miami Heat basketball association. People only liked them when they were good. Now that LeBron has joined the Cleveland Cavaliers, all of those bandwagon fans and many more have now just happened to like that team, even though they were a very bad team the past few years. This doesn’t only apply for just basketball, but for all sports. You have your Green Bay Packers bandwagon fans, your Los Angeles Angels bandwagon fans, even your Rory McIlroy bandwagon fans.…

There are some barriers that LeBron must overcome. Most people assumed that the Cavaliers would at very least make it to the Eastern Conference final for a rematch with Orlando. Furthermore, after being up 2-1 to the Celtics and a dominating performance by the Cavs in game 3 most people were ready to say Cleveland could be considered the overall favorite of the playoffs. Also, there were many people questioning LeBron’s focus on this series because of his pending free agency. The media accused him of being passive and less aggressive than the LeBron we’ve come to know in the NBA.…

For as long as I can remember, the Western Conference has been a more competitive than the Eastern Conference by a landslide. This imbalance has jeopardized the integrity of the NBA championship to fans across the world because the playoff path to the final series gets skewed. So many of the NBA’s great all-time teams have been located in the Western Conference. Recent examples include the Los Angeles Lakers,San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Mavericks, and most recently the super team Golden State Warriors. Although some people believe abandoning conferences would be bad for the NBA given increased travel and other challenges, it would provide far more entertaining matchups and fairness in playoff seeding.…

Cuban cited the collective bargaining agreement and post-lockout schedule as a factor in his decision not to re-sign Tyson Chandler and others after the championship. He called the compressed, 66-game 2011-12 season a "lost year" for teams like the Mavs that relied primarily on older players, saying that made it difficult to justify keeping the roster intact, knowing that they "would be stuck with an aging team and not be in a position to make a big impact on our roster" due to the more restrictive CBA.…

Cuban's whatever-it-takes attitude and commitment to winning has everyone's attention. From his first introduction to the team to the end of his first season as owner, the players responded with a 31-19 record, including a 9-1 mark in April 2000. In addition to hiring special coaches for offense, defense and shooting, Cuban has promised to do everything in his power to improve the team. This goal was achieved as the club finished the 2000-01 season with a 53-29 record en route to their first playoff appearance in 11 years where they became just the sixth team in NBA history to be down 0-2 and come back to win a…

In the book Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, Steinbeck uses descriptive language and diction to explain Crook’s room. After reading the two paragraphs explaining Crooks’s room, a reader can infer that Crooks is caring, lonely and informed about his rights. Crooks’s room is described as “a little shed” with many personal possessions.” Furthermore, unlike the other men on the ranch he has books which consist of “a tattered dictionary and a mauled copy of the California civil code for 1905” and medicine for the horses.…
