It displays a sort of a ‘hemming in’ securing a leader in place and provides an upward focus for growth, draws someone underneath in upward development of their growth, while also providing mentoring friend peers that come alongside. The Constellation Model provides immense protection, sheltering, and shielding from the harmful ways of this world. I am grateful to God for the blessing of their lives, and how they as the next generation pursue my knowledge, experience, and insights in life decisions that are God-honoring. Additionally, I am also mentoring a ministry intern who is also in her mid-twenties. When beginning to look for an intern, I first noticed her and when I approached her, she advised me she was hoping I would be interested in developing her for the position! It was a mutual attraction, we have mutual accountability, and she is highly responsive. I am systematically helping her take on new responsibilities that I have done for many years, breaking it down into segments to what needs to be learned and grasped. Additionally, I created a job description that we both agreed upon which represents a list of focused development, evaluations, and common expectations. Peer Mentors are both inside an organization (internal) and outside an organization (external). They are the friends that we have many things in common with and offer joint encouragement, safety, and empowerment lending to deeper openness and accountability with one another.
