Illegal immigration is one of the most commonly debated topics of 2016 because of the Presidential election. Illegal immigrants are a hindrance to America’s growth; however, immigration legally is valuable in expanding the countries cultures and learning opportunities. Because of the illegal immigration rates, the threat of terrorism and crime increases. According to Fox News, local, state and federal data has given an oddly disproportionate number of murderers, rapists and drug dealers that are crossing the US border along with the hard-working, desperate families that are seeking a better life. This goes to prove that there are massive amounts of criminals entering the country among regular soon-to-be-citizens of the US. Secondly, illegal
immigrants or illegal aliens, take jobs away from the struggling American families. According to FAIR, Federation for American Immigration Reform, some claim that illegal aliens only take the jobs unwanted by Americans. This is false, in fact most jobs that illegal immigrants take are also American jobs such as construction, agricultural harvesting or service professions. This shows that the jobs many Americans need, are going to people that are not even here in the US legally, which is just inequitable. Lastly, illegal immigrants receive and abuse government welfare benefits more than American citizens. In fact, if a child is born in America, even if the parents are illegal, the child is considered a citizen of the US. Many women come to America for the sole purpose of reproducing, so that their child can be given federal aid benefits. This overburdens the welfare systems, and supports those who do not pay the same portion of taxes as their fellow American neighbors. Illegal immigration is a huge problem that the world faces today. With the estimated 12.5 million illegal immigrants recorded since 2013, the threat of terrorism and crimes rise. Also, the illegal immigrants take much-needed jobs away from Americans. Lastly, the illegal immigrants overuse government and federal systems such as food stamps. America is a place for individuality, opportunities and a great life. Every human deserves that and more, but if American’s needs get pushed aside for illegal foreigner’s needs, that's where illegal immigration takes its plunge.
