Unlike most of the presidents that were born poor in a log cabin, Theodore was born in a wealthy family in New York City in 1858. He spent most of his days at home because of the illness he had acquired and asthma. He was homeschooled got fond of animals. His father then proceeded to encourage him with boxing and weightlifting to toughen him up. His father would later die when Theodore went to school in Harvard College. Also by his ecological conservatism. His rather popular decision of making the government have more power of the industry and consumer protection, got definitely improved response by the energetic and charismatic speeches he made, combined with his fist pounding in the air. He loved to quote his favourite proverb; “Speak softly and carry a big stick…” whilst making the United States more active in the world politics. His stance in women’s right to vote was positive. He also became the first american president to entertain an african-american person in the White House. Although, it never happened again after some fuss from people.
At a young age it was discovered that he had been born with a weak heart. Therefore he was advised to take a desk job, but Theodore had a hard time sitting still all the time. He liked to be outside and enjoy the nature. He loved hunting and was very passionate about it. There is a story where he met an old bear, injured and weak, in the wild. He refused to kill it for unsportsmanship, but told his company to put it down so that it would not suffer. Soon the story got known and a shop owner started selling stuffed toy bears, the teddy bear.
Unfortunately Theodore Roosevelt died in his sleep from the heart problem in January 6th, 1919. He was only 60 years
