Luckily for her, someone she worked with back when they were rescuing children pulled her out of that line. Thankfully she escaped and was found someone she lived with. She also got a fake identity. Irena was then reunited with her boyfriend in the mountains. Irena, judging by her demeanor, was very relieved and happy that it was finally over and was pleased that she saved so many lives.
It is clear that during the story, Irenas mood and the way she feels, was always changing. From pity to sympathy. Stressed to disappointed. Fear to pain. Exhaustion to relief. Irena Sendler went through a hell of a lot. She was understanding and passionate. Even through all of this, Irena never lost her hope. She was even nominated for the nobel prize award in the years 2006, 2007 and 2008 for her great works. Despite her huge celebration, Irena still admits to having nightmares about the holocaust. She feels she didn't do enough and could have saved more children. Praise for Irena
