This is an effect that can be viewed through the epidemic of the disappearance of languages. A language is a tool that allows individuals to communicate. The homogenization of language may appeal to individuals as a convenience because it would allow people to communicate and understand others with clarity, but with the disappearance of a language there is a disappearance of a culture. Advancement in the health field due to technology has been able to safely maintain the lives of individuals through the world. Technology and science have been able to cooperate and create an era in which the possibilities for finding the cure for certain disease seem endless. For example, in 2003 the human genome project was finally completed after rigorous research on which genes made up our DNA. It was finally established the order of more than 3 billion genes or letters which make up the book of life. This has been able to facilitate research and the identification of the single genes which may cause disease, in part due to the fact that these dreams may be identified, better treatment can be created. Stem cells have been a medical advancement through many scientific studies with the aid of technology as well. Stem cells have been able to be programmed to become any type of cell in the body. This innovation has the potential for curing diseases and repairing tissue. Both of those discoveries have the ability to save individuals with a variety of illnesses, but research in the HIV-AIDS epidemic has created a special “Cocktail” to help with the disease especially in developing nations. Although the speed of science is excruciatingly slow at times due to the vast amount of testing and creation of hypotheses and experiments to test these, over the last fifteen years treatment due to medical
