I know that Lennie would never make it by himself because the book says, “Well I can go away” …. “I'll go right off in the hills and find a cave if you don’ want me.” This shows me that he won’t make it by himself because he says he will go live in a cave, he won’t know how to get food or anything. Also George always says how Lennie would never make it by himself. Lastly, George doesn’t have the money to get his dream life now, he will have to work longer. I know that it will take longer to “Live the Dream” because they lost Lennie. The book says, “George, how long’s it gonna be till we get that little place an’ live on the fatta the land’-an’ rabbits?” If he weren’t to kill Lennie, they’d be having one heck of a dream. Also, they would have money from Candy, the old swamper, if he could join in on this dream. The book says, “.... An’ they give me two hundred an’ fifty dollars `cause I los’ my hand” Yes George definitely did the wrong thing killing Lennie. He would have had money, would have helped Lennie live life, and would have had a friend. I know I am right because now that he killed Lennie because what’s he going to do now that he has nobody to get money off, because Candy is getting a little old. So what he killed Lennie, like he will live better now because he doesn’t have to take care of him
