Ebola is primarily found in Bats, Monkeys and Gorillas, however it can spread to other living things, like humans through physical contact with anything that, has, had or touched the virus itself.
Interestingly Ebola dates back to 1976 when there was two, (luckily small) outbreaks that occurred, however they were dealt with, and weren’t in the public eye. It was only until 2013, in west Africa when a large out break happened and the public was, more or less intrigued by the virus.
The way the virus causes sickness is inflicted mainly by attacking the immune system. The way Ebola does this is, it attacks certain
cells that warn/ tell your body to release white blood cells (the medic of the body). From there the Ebola cells violently replicate, afterwards, they start travelling through the body releasing proteins that clot your blood vessels causing damage to the lining of a vessel, lower blood pressure, etc. in addition Ebola also starts a dreadful fever that causes you to lose energy. With all these symptoms as a result, it kills the infected with quick haste.
Unfortunately, there is currently no vaccine or cure for the Ebola virus, however there are many people continuing ongoing research for a cure. In review Ebola is one of the world, deadliest viruses that has killed thousands and needs a cure as soon as possible.
