Lacking the ability to make teens not engage in sexual intercourse, the best way to go about it is to teach them how to do it safely in order to not contract anything that could be with them for life. In source F, "Sexual Risk Behaviors: HIV, STD, & Teen Pregnancy Prevention." , the graphs show that over 30% of teens have had sexual intercourse in the past 3 months, and of that 30 %, 43% did not use a condom, and 10% had been inflicted with a sexual disease. This could have been easily avoided if taught properly in schools about how to use a condom, or better yet making sure your partner is tested in order to not be inflicted with something life threatening such as AIDS, crabs, etc. When kids are taught earlier what to do, it saves them later when they feel they've reached the maturity level to have sex. This is a vital concern because we can't stop teenagers from having sex, but the least we could do is implement helpful courses in schools in how to better prevent unwanted…

Teens did not know their own bodies. There were little factual resources that teenagers can depend. Few choices left for them, teenagers were guided along high risk actions. Abstinence was the approved option by parents, as it teaches teens to not be sexually active but not on protection or STDS. Another path is exploration on their own means. Exploration was dangerous, because teenagers were unaware of the consequences. Both options plunged teens’ health into a abyss. Then around 1980s, media started to reach towards the topic of sexual activity in teenagers. Many teen movies brushed against the topic about sexual activity and gave more positive responses than usual. Now, there is a rapid increase in sexual activity amongst teens. Due to this rise of sexually active teens, sexual health programs in high schools need to be updated to accommodate this change. High schools need to avoid only abstinence learning and implemented new programs for…

We all as humans have sexual behaviors; it’s something that is a part of every one of us and part of our humanity. Sexual behavior is with you even before you are born, for example a fetus can actually express some sexual behaviors. These sexual behaviors are more likely to happen if the fetus is a male versus a female. These sexual behaviors start to arise when we are all in our infancy stage. The development of these behaviors continues through our age. One thing that male babies have are erections even before birth a unborn baby can have an erection. Baby girls experience something a little different. Baby girls start getting lubrication in their vaginal opening and also swelling. This also happens before birth. The ages that kids start showing pelvic thrusting is at about 8 to 12 months and begin to masturbate a few months after that. Kids while they are young experience sexual curiosity and behaviors and it’s a completely normal part of their growth and development. One specific game that children play is a kissing game, this kissing game involves sexual stimulus. In the adolescence stage which is ages 9 to 13 is when the child experiments with masturbation and is the top key sexual behavior at this age. The child will continue to show sexual curiosity and different sexual behaviors as they become older and go into the adult stage. At this stage the male and the female will experiment with mutual masturbation. Puberty also takes place, once puberty happens then reproduction is a possibility and something that can happen. During adolescence women start to menstruate. The body of a woman produces something called estrogen and with estrogen production it causes to form women body parts like breasts. Men produce something different, its called testosterone and this causes genital growth and other male behaviors. The number one outlet for sexual desires in the adolescence…

Sexual thoughts pop in and out of most people’s mind, but especially teenagers, and there’s nothing they can do about it. It is normal for teenage boys and girls to experience this, more than ever when they are hitting puberty. The hormones in the body begin to act up and teenagers want to experience other things on their own. Males begin to grow pubic and facial hairs, and their voice starts to deepen, while girls’ breasts begin to develop and their body begins to take shape. After hitting puberty, teenagers are now at the point where they want to experience things. ‚Don’t go out there and get pregnant‛ a mother explains, ‚you’re too young and I don’t think you’re ready to be a mother.‛ Likewise for a father, ‚Don’t get no girl pregnant and have a child you can’t even take care of.‛ However, that’s the only serious conversation parents ever have with their children about serious matters such as adolescence. They do not speak about the deeper things that teenagers need to be informed about and as a result teenagers will have to find out on their own. They will dwell on the things they have learnt, some even begin to have perverted thoughts and most teenagers want to experiment and put them into practice later on in life -- but where are the parents, where are the pastors, the counselors, all the essential people when it comes to issues such as these? Adults want to tell the younger children that sex is wrong at a young age, but don’t go into the deeper things such as masturbation or even internet pornography. The older folks want to say that the younger generation is corrupted, but never have they really sat down with a young man and mention things such as lust of the mind, and the same for girls. Adults are the cause of the perversion in the minds of their own children. Teenagers and even the younger children hear about pornography from their…

This paper deals with the effects of the media on teen sexuality and what results from it. The sexual content contained in the media uncovers the effects on adolescent’s attitude about sex, their beliefs, and behaviors. There are so many types of media that are geared towards adolescents; it makes it hard for teen’s to ignore. Teens are at a stage in their life where they are discovering who they are and are beginning to have new feelings which are usually centered on their bodies. These feelings make them especially vulnerable to outside influences. They want to be accepted and often go to great lengths to fit in. One of the definitions of sexuality is an organism’s preparedness for engaging in sexual activity. An adolescent is not prepared for the onset of puberty not to mention sexual activity. This is the reason it is so important for parents to talk to their kids about the changes that are going on and provide a solid foundation from which their children can grow from. Once that foundation is set then the schools can further educate the kids on what steps can be taken in terms of safe sex and give them options.…

Sex is a common venture for everyone to experience at some point in their lives, and it comes to no surprise that teenagers are the first ones to engage in it. Sex is not a bad thing and teenagers should not be punished for it, but unfortunately most parents do not know how react when their teens come to them with sexual questions. Since teens do not talk to their parents beforehand, and vice versa, they usually decide to have sex blindly. Subsequently teenagers have neither prior experience nor knowledge about sex and…

At present, GTA V is one of the most popular and money making video games. GTA V is certainly not the only video game, or only iteration, of celebrated violence against women. But GTA V’s new standard for ramped-up, graphic violence against women comfortably exists in our rape culture, and reifies the distinct ways in which women and girls are propertied, humiliated, and abused.”(Saar, Malika Saada. In this generation, teenagers are constantly exposed to sexual content by modern media which can influence adolescence. Things like music, films, social media, religion, family background and social life/friends can leave an impact on teenagers and their choices. At the age of sixteen (the legal age for consent), the brain has not yet been developed to understand the consequences of their actions. The Advocates for Youth community put together statistics coming from different sources explaining the topic. They found that “Six percent of all U.S. high school students had sexual intercourse before age 13”. “Thirty-nine percent of all sexually active U.S. high school students did not use a condom at last intercourse”. These statistics all link up to the legal age of sexual activity in Australia which is…
